Had a blast,! So many things to do! I would say more for the adult crowd. Id leave the kids at home...just being honest! Trisha W Verified NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE!! Unique architecture! Thats the only good thing! WAY to PRICEY from paying to park everywhere, food, drinks, etc. homeless people sleeping EVERYWHERE or just hanging out all over the strip panhandling!! The smells if horrible, trash all over the place! Not one police officer in site, random people coming up to you and placing jewelry in your hand and trying to make you pay for it because “you” touched it, girls coming up and asking to take pictures with you for 80$ a piece, just tons of people trying to force you to but outrageously priced items everywhere. Signs inside and outside the casinos are not very clear on where you are supposed to go. Not to mention walking from your hotel parking through the entire casino with all you bags is not the easiest thing to do. Definitely has become a very unappealing, dirty, smelly, expensive quick weekend trip. kptravel2002 Verified Too many people too expensive! Go in the morning around 09:30 when the crowds are not out. Everything is way over priced. It stinks of marijuana, vape and cigarettes!! Nasty!! Afternoons and evenings it’s stupid crowded with lots of security. Street people stoned and laid out unconscious or dead. Nobody cares. Security is doing what they can and they got after someone with sharp scissors out. Police presence is very good! They did a fantastic job after the Stanley cup win. Police were out in full force when we were trying to get back to the hotel through the crowds at 10 after our show. Bad timing on our part. Thank you to the Vegas police for the work they do!!!! We won’t visit again. Too much crime, stench from smoke and stoned street people along with drunks. Anthony T Verified Wasn't much to see or do. Smelled horrible. Not a fun experience. There really wasn't much to see or do. It smelled absolutely horrible outdoors. Not a fun experience. stevebintley Verified A unique experience You’ll either love it or hate it, but admire it for what it is and you’ll appreciate what’s gone in to create such a unique and almost fantasy place. You can easily spend a day walking both lengths, via the hotels, taking the opportunities to grabs small bites to eat and drink along the way. Remember that just because somewhere looks close though it isn’t, and everything takes longer than you think to reach on foot. While the escalators over the side roads are a great concept there’s always some which are out of service, but there are lifts if you look closely. The whole length is always kept clean and tidy and if you don’t like the crowds then an early morning stroll is always bliss in comparison to the evenings. Take in the atmosphere and it’s an eye-opening place to be. Frank P Verified Priced out of reality My wife and I have been to Vegas a few times. We went to see what was new. We stayed at Mirage. We were honestly shocked at what the prices have become…..on everything!!! It’s like they are going to get every dollar from you before you leave..Even the rooms have a added on FEE that only the high rollers get waived. The rest of us “pay for the privilege “” of traveling to the desert!! I’ll never go back.. I can travel 3hrs to Atlantic City and stay 3 days and be treated well…. I don’t need to go to Vegas to be fleeced. Daniel Matless Verified Be prepared to walk.....a lot! It`s not really possible to sum up the strip in one review. 3 or 4 miles of huge casino resorts, free shows such as the Bellagio fountains & mirage volcano, (be quick, it `s going this year, cafe`s, bars, shops, etc are what`s on offer. Everywhere is further away than it looks, It can take 10 minutes to walk past just one of the big resorts. Wear comfortable shoes & clothes and stop off for drinks along the way, and if you decide to explore any of the big hotels, allow at least an hour for each. We enjoy picking a street-side cafe or bar and people-watching for a while before heading off to explore further. kapcat Verified Not Fun It was very crowded. The traffic was horrendous. There was construction, & we sat in traffic for long periods without moving. People were not friendly. It was once upon a time a place that was fun. I do not care if I win, but I would like to play for awhile before I lose my money. That was our last trip to Las Vegas. Architecture and food Verified As expected but a little different It really is a strip and good to walk along. Amazing with all those world buildings jammed against each other. Venetian was the best and well detailed. But the strip was quiet PeteWaddington Verified Bye bye wallet - but worth every buck! It's as nuts as you might think and so corny, chavvy, bonkers at every turn but equally amazing.Every hotel has a different them, we loved the wildlife at the Flamingo. We stayed at the Luxor and WOW! The pyramid has to be seen to be believed with lifts that go up on an angle.Words can't explain the madness of Vegas and I lost count of the times I just stood there saying "this is bloody nuts!"
